About me and my therapy practice
I offer psychotherapy and counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
I am a qualified and registered therapist with the BACP. Previously I have worked in the NHS and I am now in private practice at St Margaret's House. At this time I am only seeing clients over Zoom or sessions on the telephone and I cannot say when or even if I will be returning to my London office.
Therapy is about gaining a greater understanding and possibly about making fundamental changes in the way we live our lives and relate to ourselves and others. Psychotherapy can help clarify who we are and what we want from our lives and help us to find our direction. Therapy and counselling can also offer support and help alleviate emotional distress and anxiety in such times when it is needed.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for you to talk about what you hope to achieve for yourself by coming in to therapy and what the issues are as you see them. It will also be a chance for me to ask you questions about yourself in order to see if what I can offer is appropriate for your needs. If it seems right for us to work together there will be an opportunity for you to ask me any questions you may have about therapy or about me. If we decide to proceed, times and frequency of sessions and a basic contract will be agreed.
