About me and my therapy practice

About me

I am an Adult and late Adolescent Psychotherapist also registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (TSP). I work in the NHS (Tavistock Clinic) and in private practice from my consulting rooms in North West and Central London. Sessions can be in Spanish.

Therapy process

Through psychoanalytic psychotherapy we can get access to the unconscious reasons why we act or behave in a particular way, and why we keep repeating this behaviour. By becoming aware of these reasons we gain a better understanding of why we are the way we are and why we do the things we do. By revealing our inner conflicts, needs and wishes, the analytic approach can help relieve our suffering and we can achieve greater happiness.

People come to me when they can no longer deal with a problem in their lives and decide to seek professional help. Common difficulties they face are; mood that has become too low, a feeling of pointlessness, anger that has become unmanageable, anxiety that cannot be stopped, relationships that are not working, or a grief that seems never ending. Sometimes it’s not very clear to them what it is they are struggling with, but something just doesn’t seem right.

My role is to facilitate a unique space where a special type of talking and listening takes place. With this foundation in place, it becomes possible for the person to express difficult feelings and important struggles, and to explore unknown aspects of their personalities. With time, trust and creativity, a happier and more fulfilled life can be lived.

Sessions can be face to face in my London consulting rooms, or via video links, such as Zoom or Skype.
