About me and my therapy practice

Life can be tough for many reasons, I believe therapy can support you to lead a happier and more meaningful life. I offer face to face, online and telephone sessions using an integration of a number of evidenced based therapies with a focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Attachment Theory and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I will work with you to help to understand how your life has been shaped by your experiences. In understanding how these experiences continue to shape the course of your life we can help to shift patterns that no longer serve you in order to create the life you want to live.

I believe you are the expert of your own experience. I will support you to bring focus to your goals and needs, while providing a safe space to understand yourself. I aim to be non-directive and willI frame concepts and strategies as suggestions for you to consider. I will always be respectful of your instincts and experiences and will encourage you to connect to what feels right for you.

My style has been described as warm and approachable. I aim to be genuine and have a strong belief in showing my humanness within therapy. The parts of myself that I bring into sessions are my curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and humour, I don't try to pretend that I have it all figured out.

I have over 15 years experience of supporting people to overcome the effects of drug and alcohol misuse within the NHS and non-profit organisations. In the last five years I have been primarily working with survivors of rape and sexual abuse alongside my own private practice.

Practice description

I offer one to one sessions from my home practice in Leamington Spa. I am also a certified Cyber Therapist offering online, telephone and email therapy. I will typically meet with you on a weekly or fortnightly basis for either short or long-term counselling, depending on your needs.

I work within an anti-oppressive framework and a trauma-informed lens. I aim to provide inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming, disability-affirming, sex positive and LGBTQ+ affirming support. I am anti-racist and support disabled lives, trans rights, and women's rights. I am a body positive and anti-diet culture therapist.

About me and my therapy practice

My aim as a supervisor is to support you to reflect on yourself and your practice in a way that feels safe and open. I am a fully qualified supervisor and accredited member of the BACP, following their ethical framework. I have an integrative approach to therapy with my core training in attachment, CBT and person centred counselling to Msc level 7, I also have a special interest in compassion focused therapy. I currently work in my full time private practice and I have previously worked as a Level 5 counselling tutor. I enjoy working with students, newly qualified and qualified therapists.

Practice description

I offer monthly supervision for a minimum of one hour per session. The cost is £50 per hour, £65 for 90 minutes, I also offer reduced rates for student counsellors.

I offer online sessions via Zoom or in person based at my private practice in south Leamington. I offer an initial, free 20 minute conversation to discuss your supervision needs and to find out if we are a good fit.

My practice room is on the ground floor with one step. Unfortunately my current space is not wheelchair accessible however, I would be happy to locate a suitable room if access was required.

I work with supervisees on their adult clients only, any work with individuals under the age 18 will require a separate supervisor.
