About me and my therapy practice
An Irish greeting, a hundred thousand welcomes!
I specialise in EMDR and Somatic Experience (SE) therapy for workplace pressure, anxiety and trauma from accidents, assaults, or combat and AF-EMDR (Attachment-Focused) to help people recover from adverse and difficult childhood experiences. I particularly welcome paramedics, police, prison staff and service personnel. I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds providing online time-limited and longer term counselling. I also provide The Safe and Sound Protocol online. This passive intervention using sound, developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, may be helpful for people with early life trauma.
I use EMDR as a coaching tool to enhance a person's business performance and overcome blocks permanently. I am also using EMDR alongside CBT as a tool to help people manage chronic pain.
With my partner, I established Beechmount to provide stress management coaching and training to businesses and deliver courses both independently and on behalf of Jarrold Training, a Norfolk-based training provider.
I welcome any opportunity to talk with you without any obligation. Counselling can be life-changing, and meeting the best person to help you achieve your goals matters a lot. If you are shopping around, I am always happy to help you explore your options.
The relationship that comes about between the two people in a counselling room is a major factor in the success or otherwise of counselling. Clients have expressed how easily they connect with me and I with them. I am interested in people and in the experiences that have affected and shaped their lives and that is probably helpful in listening work.
