About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner and Life Coach for Personal Development.
I offer remote, online counselling and psychotherapy.
I help those who suffer from anxiety by using a combination of counselling and hypnotherapy, guiding them to find relief in their symptoms and helping them to understand the meaning of their experiences.
Problems that may be associated with stress and anxiety: unhealthy patterns in relationships, work-related problems such as being bullied, harassed or victimised at work, life-changing circumstances (i.e. bereavement, break-ups, illness or disability, crisis of a spiritual nature, also known as "emergencies"), low mood and depression.
My personal approach to psychological help is underpinned by the Integrative approach to counselling and psychotherapy and I also use CBT and transpersonal approaches. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor registered with MBACP and a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist (HS, BSCH) and Coach for Personal Transformation.
I believe it is important to understand clients’ goals and needs before deciding on the best approach for them. Each client is different and what works for one may not work for another.
I can help you with any of the following issues:
You are in pain or distress and need someone to talk to, who listens to you with an open mind, without judging you or giving you advice.
You suffer from anxiety, panic attacks and are looking for someone to help you understand and manage the problem.
You are struggling with a pattern that keeps coming back and you don't understand why or what you are doing wrong.
You are aware that something has to change in your life but you don't know what or how to change it.
Although you long for a partner that is safe and reliable with whom you can share your life, you have a history of dysfunctional romantic relationships and you feel that "love is not for you." This makes you feel sad, alone, and unfulfilled, having a negative impact not only in the area of love but in other areas of your life.
You have a history of experiencing bullying or mobbing at work or in other social contexts and you want to understand why this is happening to you.
You are going through a crisis of a spiritual nature (known as a spiritual emergence or emergency), involving distressing emotions and experiences, and need someone to talk to who can understand the spiritual nature of your pain/experiences.
I can help you by providing you with a safe space to talk, guiding you to reconnect with your internal resources (healthy aspects of yourself, such as strengths and values), and more, so that you can find what is right for you and feel empowered to overcome the pain, distress or challenge that you are experiencing and that is holding you back.
My first session
To book a session, send me an email to arrange a phone consultation. During the consultation, I will listen to your story and together, we will work out what is the best approach for you.
We will arrange a date and a way of working that suits both of us.
I will first reply to you by e-mail; if you prefer that I call you, please let me know in your e-mail and provide a suitable date and time for me to call you.
Once we agree to work together, I will send you an agreement and the details for payment. Once all this is completed, all you have to do is to attend the session with an open mind and a desire to make some changes!
In the first session, I will make a more thorough assessment of your present situation and we will discuss what outcomes you would like to get from the sessions.
Generally, clients accept to commit to a minimum of six sessions. We can also agree on long-term therapy if that's what feels right for you.
