About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life can be challenging and you may feel isolated in your attempts to battle through it. You may believe that admitting to someone you are finding life hard, or that you’re unable to cope alone is a sign of weakness. However, it could be one of the most courageous things you ever do for yourself. It’s not easy to reach out, especially if you usually ‘deal’ with things alone. But, know there is another way—support is available to you and change is possible. You don’t have to go through this difficult time in isolation.
So, if you’re feeling stuck or are struggling with difficult emotions, I’m here to listen.
I offer flexible short-term and long-term online counselling and psychotherapy and always endeavour to provide a warm, welcoming and safe space for you to express yourself freely without judgement. I work with adults, older adults and young people from a range of culturally diverse backgrounds, using a variety of different methods and approaches according to what is most beneficial to the client. I work in a collaborative and focused way integrating Psychodynamic concepts with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) tools alongside a variety of different techniques such as breathing and relaxation exercises, meditation, mindfulness and guided visualizations where appropriate. I have a special interest in issues related to race, culture, ethnicity and experiences of marginalization. Furthermore, I am interested in empowering you to live a life that affirms your authentic self, helping you to love and embrace yourself more fully.
