About me and my therapy practice

I am a counsellor, creative arts therapist and supervisor. I have been working therapeutically with Children, young people and adults since 2009.

I offer a warm and safe environment to help you explore the reasons you have come to counselling, without judgement. I bring an integrative approach to the therapy which means that I use strategies from a variety of approaches, all depending on what you bring to therapy. This integrative approach allows me to tailor our work together for your specific needs. I may use techniques from various counselling models including Humanistic counselling, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Integrative Sandplay therapy, play therapy skills, mindfulness and the creative arts.

I believe that you are the expert on your own life, we all have our own unique way of looking at the world. We will work together in order to support you to reach your full potential. Difficult life experiences may temporarily block our ability to reach our potential, but with the right support, we all have the ability to achieve our goals.

I offer face to face, online or walk & talk counselling sessions.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a counsellor, creative arts therapist and clinical supervisor based on the Isle of Wight, UK. I have been working therapeutically with children, young people and adults since 2009.

The Values and Beliefs that Underpin my Supervision Practice:

As a Creative Supervisor, I offer a safe space to help you reflect on your work with clients. I aim to develop a collaborative working relationship with you, so you feel safe enough to openly explore any thoughts, feelings, and experiences about your work, without judgement. In supervision we explore your client work together to help us understand your clients better and improve your work with them. This includes exploring any issues arising from sessions, celebrating success and progress, and any ethical dilemmas whilst thinking about ways to facilitate positive changes in your clients.

My aim as a supervisor is to help you to gain in ethical competence, confidence, compassion and creativity to give your best possible service to clients, and to reflect on all aspects of your clinical work. My supervision approach is relational, humanistic, integrative and creative. I aim to provide a relationship that is collegial, supportive and respectful. My approach to supervision enables flexibility in my thinking, helping me adapt to individual learning styles and different therapeutic orientations.

My key values as a supervisor are collaboration, support, growth, diversity, creativity and humour and I work within the BACP ethical framework.

If you are a practicing therapist, mental health professional or other professional who works with people involving emotionally challenging relational dynamics such as Social Workers or Teachers and wish to discuss your supervision with me, please contact me for further details or to discuss your individual needs.

I can offer supervision across the UK online as well as in person on the Isle of Wight.
