Availability

Currently all of my sessions are carried out via video calls, protecting both you and me from any risk during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Call me to let me know what times and days you are available, and I will do my very best to accommodate your needs at times which suit you; I try my best to make my working hours flexible around the needs of my clients.

About me and my therapy practice

During all of our lives we have times when we find that life is harder to process, events are challenging to tolerate and find a path through. These are the times where we most need a safe place to talk – and these are also the times when it’s most difficult to reach out. We can be held back by fear, by negative experiences, or even by our own inner voice.

I know how challenging it can be – and I aim to provide not only a safe space to speak, but also a wide range of experience and training which enables me to support you in the way that you most connect, and which feels most comfortable to you.

I offer individual therapies in a range of approaches, all tailored to work with your personal needs, in a confidential, safe space. A space where we can work together, respectfully exploring your situation and the emotions you’re dealing with, talking through the challenges you’re facing.

Time spent in counselling gives you the power to unravel your thoughts and aids you in making sense of the difficulties which have been disrupting your peace of mind. Once you’ve unraveled the knots and tangles of your overwhelmed thoughts, I help you work toward positive outcomes – however that looks for you.

I work within a range of different therapies, with clinics in Stoford within 5 minutes drive of Yeovil and llminster, which opens a wealth of ways in which I can help you.

I also work with relaxation and breathing techniques to assist with anxiety, stress and panic disorders, teaching you how to tap into your innate abilities to calm your thoughts and move through the moments of panic and anxiety.

The first stage of our relationship is a free, no obligation brief telephone consultation – a chance to get to know me, for me to get an idea of how I can help you, and whether I am the right person to support you.

My first session

Our first conversation is just to get an idea of the worries you have, and the issues that you are facing. I simply want to understand whether I will be the best person to help you, and learn a little about you. It's informal, friendly and safe, and I will ask you a few questions about your life and your history, so that I can assess your immediate and long term needs, and then we can discuss what your goals are, and begin to plan our steps to achieve them.
