About me and my therapy practice
Looking for support? I can provide face to face, telephone, zoom or walk and talk outdoor counselling sessions. Areas I can support include bereavement, loss and grief, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, self esteem and relationship problems. A specialist area for me is supporting people through bereavement, having trained with the charity Cruse Bereavement for 2 years.
The only areas I do not support are under age 18's and addiction such as drugs/alcohol/sex/gambling.
Sessions delivered in a way that suits you
I provide counselling primarily by phone & online via Zoom and from 1 March 2021 I am offering Walk & Talk outdoor sessions.
I offer face to face sessions @ The Consulting Centre in Branksome, Poole out of lockdown. This practice has excellent Covid-19 measures in place for your safety with rooms deep cleaned each evening and wiped down thoroughly between sessions. The rooms offer a socially distanced environment, with a safe waiting area, hand sanitiser throughout and you are able to wash your hands in the on-site toilet facilities. Free parking is available at Tesco Branksome.
Practice description
I'm a person centred counsellor meaning that I will work with you to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions with a view to you creating to change in how you are feeling.
Session Length
Each session is 50 minutes and I can offer a certain number of sessions to fit your budget or work with you for as long as you require, tailoring support to what is helpful to you.
My first session
I offer a 30 minute free introductory meeting by phone or online to let you know more about how counselling might help support you and to find out more about you to establish if counselling is the right type of support for you. You'll be under no obligation and it's a chance for you to discuss what you might be looking for from therapy and to see if you feel comfortable with me. If for any reason I'm unable to support you, I'll also help with signposting you to other local / national support services.

Hi, alongside phone, face to face and zoom support, I offer Outdoor Nature Therapy / Walk and Talk therapy using a route around Poole Park lake. This can provide a different experience from the confines of a therapy room and can be helpful for those that enjoy connecting to the outdoors and nature. Sessions are 50 minutes and follow a traditional therapy session, just taking it outside to enjoy the fresh air and nature around you.
