Face to Face, Phone or Zoom sessions
I offer sessions at flexible times between 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday.
Sessions are 50 minutes.
Walk & Talk sessions
I offer outdoor walk and talk sessions on Tuesday mornings from 8am. We can take a walk either at Poole Park (around the lake) or Branksome Chine promenade by the beach.
Sessions are 50 minutes with the route being around 3.5-4km to suit your walking pace. We would start and finish at the same place.

Looking for support?
I provide counselling sessions either face to face, by telephone, zoom or walk and talk outdoors. Areas I am experienced in and can support you with include:
- bereavement, loss and grief having trained with the charity Cruse Bereavement
- anxiety and depression
- managing stress or anger
- self esteem
- body image & body confidence issues
- relationship problems
- structured support for binge eating disorder using a structured CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) programme
- work place issues and career coaching as I have a previous background in HR and recruitment
- debt or financial worries
Areas I am unable to support are drug/alcohol addiction but I can provide referral information to you for local support services.
Practice description
Overview
I'm a person centred counsellor meaning that I will work with you to help you explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions with a view to you creating changes in your life to improve your sense of overall wellbeing.
Session Length
Each session is 50 minutes
Number of Sessions
I can offer a certain number of sessions to fit your budget or work with you for as long as you require, tailoring support to what is helpful to you. I am happy to work with clients weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Sessions delivered in a way that suits you
Face to Face
The Consulting Centre, Poole Road, Branksome, Poole @ times to suit you between 8am-7pm.
This practice has excellent Covid-19 measures in place for your safety with rooms deep cleaned each evening and wiped down thoroughly between sessions. The rooms offer a socially distanced environment, with a safe waiting area, hand sanitiser throughout and you are able to wash your hands in the on-site toilet facilities. Free parking is available at Tesco Branksome. The offices are open 8am-7pm.

Walk & Talk
Tuesday mornings.
Poole Park - meeting at the cricket pavilion and taking a gentle loop around Poole Park lake.
Branksome Chine - meeting at the beach cafe and taking a gentle walk along the promenade to the Jazz Cafe and back.
The routes are around 3-4km but can be tailored to your walking speed and fitness levels.
My first session
I offer a 30 minute free introductory meeting face to face, by phone or zoom to find out more about what you are looking to work through and for us to consider if counselling might help support you . We can also discuss how you might like to work and agree availability for sessions. You'll be under no obligation and it's a chance for you to discuss what you might be looking for from therapy and to see if you feel comfortable with me. If for any reason I'm unable to support you, I'll also help with signposting you to other support services.

If you're looking to move straight ahead with counselling we can set up the first 50 minute session. The first session would be a chance to meet and I'll take some background information about you and we can agree areas you are looking to work through and make a plan for your support needs.
