About me and my therapy practice
Hello,
Do you need space and time to talk? Are you experiencing low mood, feeling stressed and / or coping with a long-term health condition(s)? Maybe you are seeking to increase feelings of wellbeing, process life-events, or re-examine life perspective?
I am a Chartered Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience working with mental and physical health conditions. I can offer support with chronic illness and I have a particular interest in supporting individuals awaiting transplant or adjusting to life following transplantation.
As a Sport and Exercise Psychologist (HCPC Registered) my clientele base also extends to counselling for sports performance issues such as anxiety, injury and career transition from sport. I can work with those who want to become more physically active, offering strategies that foster motivation to begin, resume exercise, and aid attainment of personal exercise goals.
I offer long-term and brief, time-limited, counselling. I can work face to face or on online mode. My practice is underpinned by the humanistic, person-centred approach and I am qualified to level 2 in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). My approach is also informed by positive psychology and wellbeing, where the focus is on life-satisfaction and flourishing. In addition to my counselling portfolio I am a qualified yoga teacher who appreciates the value of working with the body as well as the mind to process trauma and life events.
