About me and my therapy practice
I work either face to face or online counselling, I offer a confidential counselling service on either a short term or long term basis. I have experience of working with Anxiety which can often exacerbate panic attacks
I will offer you a safe, non-judgemental space to explore thoughts feelings and emotions. Having had counselling myself the supportive counselling relationship can help you discover and make meaning of the thoughts you are having. Counselling is a journey for all who make the time to invest in their mental well-being.
Our lives, of late, have changed beyond recognition and as a result it would be normal to feel some nervousness about the unknowns in our life.
I believe that everyone has the ability to solve their own issues working together with someone who is not emotionally involved in the situation who can bring clarity and understanding to the counselling session.
Life is never straight forward with many feeling as if they are the odd one out in a perfect world. By talking, a different reality is most likely to emerge.
I conduct sessions in an open space where you will be free to talk about how you really feel instead of painting a picture of having everything together.
Therapy is a working relationship between myself as the therapist and the client. I meet clients at my home practice and very often the first session can feel a little daunting. However this is the first important step in looking at the issues you are seeking support with. The number of sessions is dependent on the issues that you wish to discuss and my work is client-led.
By the end of our work you will have strategies, tools and techniques in place to support you long term, very often the option to talk to someone not connected to your situation personally or emotionally can bring huge rewards in its own right.
I offer sessions at my practice where you will receive a warm welcoming putting you at ease. I offer off street parking and and my office is on the ground floor.
My first session
My first session is to get to work with you to understand what has brought you to therapy. It can be quite a daunting undertaking initially but by putting you at ease you will feel in a safe space to share what is going on for you at this time.
