About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling totally alone and overwhelmed by your situation? Do the same thoughts keep going round and round in your head? Are feelings about the Past dragging you down? By considering counselling, you are taking the first brave step towards exploring any issues you may be facing and I am here to help.
I am a Person-Centred counsellor and a Registered Member of the BACP. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, confidential space for you to explore the things that are weighing you down. My aim is for you to feel 'heard', to really listen to you and to work at a pace that you feel comfortable with.
I am passionate about seeing everyone as individuals, treating them with respect and encouraging them to see the best in themselves. I am not there to tell you what to do, but to explore fresh perspectives, to increase your awareness and provide you with the tools to empower you to move forward and be your 'true' self.
I have worked on a range of issues from Anxiety and Depression to Bereavement and Loss and many more. I am currently working online and offering sessions on Zoom or on the telephone and I will be offering face-to-face sessions in the near future once all the COVID restrictions have been lifted. These sessions will take place in a comfortable, easily accessible setting with free-parking.
Please email or phone my with any questions you may have...I would be happy to help.
My first session
When you make an enquiry about counselling I will send you some information about what I can offer and an agreement form. The first session is free and consists of a 15-30 mins telephone call to go through the contract, any information on the agreement form and any questions you may have. I will e mail these to you in advance of the call so that you have time to read them and to make sure I am the right fit. Most clients start with 6-8 sessions, some may need more. I carry out regular reviews to see how you think the sessions are working for you and to obtain any feedback. You can work at your pace and end the sessions if they are not right for you.
