About me and my therapy practice
I am a Senior Accredited Counsellor with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and have over 20 years of experience working with a wide range of clients and issues.
I offer a warm relaxed approach and am told I have a good sense of humour! I tailor my approach according to the needs and preferences of each individual client.
I originally read Modern Languages at Oxford University and then worked in International Advertising and Marketing in London before retraining as a Counsellor in 1998 (Strathclyde University). Having lived in various countries, I am fluent in German, Dutch and Hebrew as well as English.
Prior to setting up my private practice in 2006, I worked in different settings including Primary Care (NHS), workplace counselling (EAP) and an agency specialising in Addictions.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals who are Neurodiverse (they may have Autism, ADHD or other types of neurodiversity). I am also able to work with their partners and/or families and am able to see couples where one partner is autistic or neurodiverse.
I am on the National Autistic Society’s List of Counsellors and have a great deal of experience of working with adults and adolescents with autism.
