Sinisa Jovic

I am an experienced therapist, and a Lecturer in Counselling at the University of East London. 

I offer a safe and non-judgemental place to explore the thoughts, feelings and beliefs that may be holding you back. As a human being, I believe that nothing in the range of human experience should be alien to me, and this consciously open and empathic attitude is one of the cornerstones of my approach to the therapeutic process.

The idea of seeing breakdown as a possible breakthrough lies at the heart of my work, as I deeply believe that even the most distressing situations in our lives offer potential for reflection, change and growth, so long as we choose to live our life deliberately. Just as water will always find its way through cracks, our innate strength will eventually make its way through our weaknesses, as we learn how to trust ourselves, how to be more flexible and how to adapt to the new circumstances that life throws before us.

​Have you ever thought that what you are experiencing is the concept of something, rather than the thing itself? Much of my work focuses on enabling people to perceive the world in a fresh and immediate way. When we learn how to notice those forces that are shaping our perception, change is ready to happen, and we are ready to fully engage with the present.
