About me and my therapy practice

I OFFER A FREE INITIAL 50 MINUTES FIRST SESSION.

I am an accredited and registered member of BACP.

A number of years ago I gained accreditation which is a quality assured status achieved by experienced practitioners who have demonstrated  to BACP a high level of competency, standards and ethical practice.

I believe it’s essential to find a counsellor whom you can trust, feel comfortable and are willing to share openly. The close relationship we develop really is the foundation and building block of all the work we do together, and I see clients in Morley, however there are two flights of steps.

By reading this you are taking the first step in deciding to address a problem or concern that seems to difficult to be confronted alone.

I offer a safe, accepting and calm place to discuss your concerns. Through our conversations together you will uncover your true thoughts and beliefs, and we will seek clarity on choices and your options and therefore equip you to make insightful  life decisions. It is important to remember that you must make your own life choices, and I will encourage and support you to do this. I was trained and practice as an integrative counsellor, which is in effect an individually tailored approach to your particular needs.

I certainly am not-judgemental and strongly believe that you have the ability to move forward at your own pace, from a place of increased insight and self knowledge. I encourage my clients to be curious about their lives, rather than judgemental.

I have a degree in Sociology/Social Policy and a Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling (both Uni.of Leeds). Also I have various post qualification training certificates (in line with BACP Continued Professional Development). In addition I have worked in a variety of organizations to enhance my practice.
