About me and my therapy practice

I am wondering how you are REALLY feeling? Have you been struggling for a while with some difficult feelings and emotions? Maybe you are a bit stuck and finding it hard to move forward with your life.

Talking to friends or a family member doesn't always give you the opportunity to work a problem through fully. I want to give you the space and time to talk so you can unravel what's happening in your head.

I want to truly listen to you. Unlike a friend, I hear you objectively, without bias or giving advice. You may speak openly and freely in the welcoming refuge of my counselling room. I want to support you in finding you own solutions.

At times in life we can find ourselves facing things which leave us feeling anxious, panicked, confused, angry, stuck or isolated and this can be overwhelming.

Together we can focus on where you want to be and how to get you there. I believe we are all born with the potential for growth and a capacity to embrace change. I will be alongside you to help you with that process.

You can be reassured that I am a professionally qualified and BACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist. My comfortable room is based in central Farnham, on the Surrey and Hampshire border. I help both adults and teenagers over 16 with all life problems such as depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, bereavement, relationship issues and family dynamics.

If you would like to start making changes, call or email me to arrange a free 15 minute consultation, so you can see how you feel speaking with me.

"It is literally the first time in my life I can actually be kind to myself, to have compassion for myself, which has had the unexpected side effect of, a sense of peace, which I never believed possible" C.P

"Katy made it feel so much easier and more comfortable for me to open up, being able to talk in a judgement free space. Also, having someone who is supportive and understanding when it comes to questioning sexuality and gender was really reassuring". R.G

About me and my therapy practice

I am currently offering in person counselling sessions, online and via phone. Call or email me to arrange a free 15 minute consultation so you can see how you feel speaking with me.

I am a professionally qualified and registered therapist working within Surrey and Hampshire. I have experience of working with both adults and teenagers 16+ with issues such as depression, generalised anxiety disorder, stress, self-esteem, bereavement, autism, relationship issues and family dynamics.

I am currently offering individual online and in person counselling from a calm environment, with an open and compassionate approach.

Finding the strength and courage to come to counselling may feel like a big step, but often it is helpful to talk to a trained professional who is not emotionally connected to you. At times we can all can find ourselves facing things which leave us feeling sad, confused, anxious, angry, stuck or isolated. I am here to really listen to you and to help you find your own way forward.

"Katy's gentle guidance and encouragement throughout, to approach my thoughts and feelings about myself from fresh perspectives like self-compassion and to open up my understanding of, and to apply validation and boundaries into my life, has been fundamental in changing, not only the way I feel about myself and my future, but also to the people I choose to allow into my life" C.P

"Katy's caring human approach to everything we discussed, and the level of emotional intelligence she brought to all our conversations are just two of the many reasons I would recommend her to anyone looking to start therapy." M.D.
