My private practice is an online service, providing therapy via video meetings. I primarily work between the hours of 10am – 6pm Monday to Thursday. I do have occasional availability on weekday evenings. If you prefer these times, please get in contact to discuss this.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced,  BACP Accredited therapist with 12 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with depression, stress and anxiety, relationship issues, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. . I work with my clients relationally to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

I set up my practice, Access-Therapy, after working for different NHS services in the UK and seeing the difficulties people have accessing therapeutic services through their GP. It is not uncommon for people to wait 6 - 12 months for an appointment and sessions are often limited to just a few. I witnessed people disengaging with the whole process before they had even started. Likewise, in private therapy, the costs involved are often prohibitive. I wanted to do something different and so I decided to offer online-only therapy services, enabling me to keep costs to a minimum and make the service more accessible.

Practice description

There are many different reasons people choose to have professional counselling. When we work together, you can expect a safe and caring place to work through the difficulties you are facing. I will work with you to understand the nature of your problems and then work with you to find more helpful and meaningful ways of dealing with them.

We may only work together for a handful of sessions; or it could be much longer if there are complex issues or trauma holding you back from living a more fulfilling life. We decide together how many sessions are appropriate and we review this regularly throughout our time together.

Here are just a few of the common issues that counselling can help with: episodes of depression; anxiety; problems in relationships; low self-esteem; grief and bereavement; and difficulties adjusting to significant life changes.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute session to talk about the problems you are facing and to make sure that counselling is suitable for you. We can also use this session to decide if we are happy to work with each other and to discuss the terms of my service.

I provide all my sessions through online video meeting, such as Skype, Zoom or Teams. This helps to keep down the cost of therapy. I do this to make my service as inclusive and accessible as possible. I charge from £40 - £60 for a 1-hour session and I ask you to think about where you fit on that scale when we first decide to work together.
