About me and my therapy practice
I am an open, down-to-earth, compassionate therapist providing a confidential and friendly counselling and psychotherapy service.
Our sessions can provide you with a safe space in which you can explore yourself, your feelings and concerns. Our aim will be to help you develop your autonomy, achieve personal growth and lead to positive changes in your life. Together we can help you to find ways to move forward in difficult times.
My core training was based in person-centred and relational approach which means that I am deeply committed to building and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. At the same time, I am able to incorporate different therapeutic methods as and when required; I can use CBT techniques that can be especially useful when working with anxiety, depression, phobias, among others; I can draw from the theory of Transactional Analysis (TA) which is based on language, concepts and techniques that are easy to understand and jargon-free, and in very simple terms can help to understand how and why we interact with others the way we do.
I believe that everyone is a unique and valuable individual with a capacity and potential for personal growth and positive change. I want to offer my clients the environment in which this growth and change can happen; I'll endeavour to tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs.
