About me and my therapy practice
At times just navigating being a person can be really overwhelming and it can feel like you’re the only one who is struggling.
Finding the courage to reach out and share your thoughts and feelings is the first step in moving forward and feeling different.
I am Registered and Accredited with the BACP and have over 25 years experience in counselling. I am Partner at Heart and Mind our family run private practice, established in 1992.
I am an incredibly down to earth person. As well as being warm, I am gently direct and will encourage and support you to really hear yourself and feel confident in expressing yourself.
I provide a safe, warm, confidential, non-judgemental environment for us to explore what is going on for you. I will support you in discovering what is best for you and what you hope to gain from coming into therapy with me.
It may be that you have specific experiences that have impacted your life, or you are in need of reducing stress and searching for peace of mind.
I am a warm, compassionate and 'say it how it is' person and believe that we all have the potential to experience more satisfying and fulfilling lives.
I offer couples counselling, where I invite each partner to share their experience of the relationship, what brings them into therapy and what they hope to gain.
I also supervise other counsellors and psychotherapists and have a Diploma in Supervision. I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework and have regular clinical supervision. I am the Clinical lead at a local counselling charity where I attend regular meetings. You are welcome to contact me to find out more or to make an appointment.
