About me and my therapy practice
Acknowledging that we need help and support can sometimes be a difficult and overwhelming experience. However, I believe that we all have the ability and power to take charge of our lives, even though at times we may feel stuck and helpless to do so. My aim would be to provide you with a safe place to explore issues you may find difficult. Whilst there are no ‘magic’ solutions, I would work alongside you, in a confidential and non-judgemental manner, to support you in achieving your goals at your own pace.
I have a BSc (hons) degree in Psychology, and as a qualified integrative counsellor (Higher National Diploma in Counselling) I adopt a humanistic (person centred), psychodynamic (childhood and/or past experiences) and cognitive behavioural approach (CBT- exploring the relationship between thoughts and feelings). I would tailor my method to your individual needs and circumstances. I am multilingual, I speak Urdu and Punjabi and have a special interest in multicultural counselling.
