About me and my therapy practice
I aim to provide the type of counselling that will be helpful to you, by listening and responding to your individual needs.
I trained as an Integrative counsellor which means I draw on many theories, but mainly I focus on you. We will look at your past experiences and how these are impacting on your day to day life. I listen intently to how you feel and together we explore what's holding you back or causing you pain. And I help you work through this so that you can make the changes to your life that you would like to make to live life to your full potential.
Sometimes, there is no solution, some things can't be changed, and at times like this I can't make things ok for you, but I can be there for you whilst things are hard. It can make a difference to have someone truly listen to you and hear your pain and provide comfort in a place where it is ok to express all your emotions without the need to apologise as we so often do in life.
With me your feelings are approved of, be they pain or anguish, anger or resentment, irritation and frustration, jealousy or envy, confusion or clarity, laughter and tears, as well as shame, embarrassment and guilt.
I am down to earth and approachable and interested in you as an individual. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I accept GP and private/self referrals.
