About me and my therapy practice
I can offer brief, focused counselling where we can address a current situation, such as a bereavement or relationship difficulties. Alternatively, I work with clients on longer term, open ended basis, which allows us to address more fully your presenting problems and their potential origins in early experience.
Experience has taught me the importance of establishing a strong relationship between client and counsellor. From this position, we are better able to examine how your past may be influencing your present behaviours and relationships. The goal is that new perspectives and fresh insights discovered through therapy can lead to lasting, positive change.
Practice description
I work with a broad range of clients, dealing with issues such as depression, anorexia and anxiety, through to work with members of the LGBTQ+ community.
My first session
After an initial, free of charge phone consultation of about 15 minutes, I offer clients an assessment session, which will enable you to explain why you are presenting for therapy. From here, we can decide how best to work together going forward.
