About me and my therapy practice

I specialise in helping couples and individuals improve their relationships and overcome anxiety, anger and depression 

I am an experienced BACP accredited psychotherapist and certified Imago relationship therapist with training in CBT. I have a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Regents College and have been in private practice since 2009. My approach is integrative, and I am a recognized provider for WPA, AXA and BUPA.

How can I help?

1) Marital and Relationship Issues

As a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist I work with individuals and couples to understand the causes of their difficulties and rebuild love and connection in their relationships.

Together we explore what you need, why there is disconnection and how you can get the relationship you want. A key to this is building open and calm communication in order to understand each other, resolve conflict and meet each others needs . We also focus on building greater appreciation, care and fun to reignite love and connection in the relationship.

2) Overcoming Anxiety ( Generalised Anxiety Disorder & Panic attacks)

Anxiety comes from underlying fear. To overcome it, we need to understand what the fear is and what is causing it. Sometimes it can be based on illusory thinking, where a person focuses on the worst case scenario coming true. These thoughts need to be challenged so we can eliminate them.  When the fear is a real one, it needs to be confronted by taking appropriate action. There are times when anxiety is based on the influences from past experiences, which need to be addressed to resolve them.


My first session

The initial session is an opportunity to talk freely about what you are seeking from counselling, how I can help, and to answer any questions you may have. There’s no obligation to continue if you don’t feel it’s for you. If you decide to continue we will set a time for your regular weekly sessions at a mutually convenient time.
