About me and my therapy practice
I became interested in counselling as in the 1980s I was involved in HIV/AIDS work. I felt very moved by what I was witnessing : loss, bereavement, death, prejudice and hope. I felt ill-equipped to deal with painful and complex issues. During this period, my manager was training to be a therapist. I was deeply impacted by how he would with sit with painful and difficult feelings in an empathic and respectful way. I said to myself, " I want to do that." That's how I began my training to be a therapist in 1991. Since that time, I have worked with both private clients and a number of organisations including a women's counselling service, the RNIB and the London Rape Crisis Center among several others. Currently, I offer short term and open-ended counselling/therapy at my private practice in Eastcote and also at a group practice, called One Therapy which is based in Oxford Circus.
The nearest tube station to my private practice is Eastcote which is on the Metropolitan line. The practice is about a 10 minute walk from the station. The nearest tube station to the practice where I work in central London is Oxford circus. The practice is a 4 minute walk from the tube station.
At my Eastcote practice, my fee is £ 55 - 70 per 50 minute session for individual counselling. Your fee will be agreed with you at our first session based on your personal financial circumstances.
My fee for couples therapy is £65 for a 50 minute session.
At the group practice in Oxford Circus I work within the fee structure of that practice.
