I am only seeing clients online through Zoom or VSee at present, while Covid19 lockdown and social distancing are in force. 

I work weekdays. I do not work at weekends.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative psychotherapist with seven years’ public and private sector experience. In addition to private practice, I have worked in the NHS and in charity settings such as Samaritans, Cruse and Mind.


My training includes CBT, Psychodynamic and Relational approaches, which means I can work with you to change unhelpful ways of behaving and thinking in your present life, as well as exploring emotional issues and problematic relating patterns which originated in your childhood or more recent past.

Practice description

Making the decision to come for therapy is often difficult, I know. That's why, as your therapist, I try my best to put you at ease from the start in a safe and confidential setting where we can explore the problems that brought you to therapy.

I understand that some problems will be difficult to voice. You may feel worried, embarrassed, anxious about talking. On this you will find me patient and understanding: we will proceed at whatever pace suits you. And I'll listen, you'll be heard and understood. Which I know is something else that may have been missing in your life. 

Finally, therapy can take time, so if you need long-term help that's fine. On the other hand, you may come with a specific problem that can be resolved in a short time. That's fine, too. How we work and how many sessions it takes, we can decide in the early sessions and if needs be, modify as we go along.


    


My first session

In the first session we will:

  • Identify the issues that are troubling you. 
  • Set clear and flexible working goals, which we can modify as our work progresses.
  • Explore your support networks, family background and any relevant issues from your past that affect your life in the present.
  • Discuss session timings, boundaries, fees, confidentiality and other procedural issues.
