About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified and BACP-accredited counsellor with many years of experience working exclusively with adults. I believe that the relationship between client and counsellor is crucial to the success of the counselling and aim to build a unique relationship with each person based on trust and respect. My approach to counselling is psychodynamic which includes thinking about what has happened in the past to help and support clients with their current problems, looking for repeating patterns and links between past and present. I see clients for weekly sessions both face to face and online. Appointments last 50 minutes and take place at the same time each week.
I see clients in a comfortable office with a spacious waiting area and free parking close by. The office is situated on Hatfield Business Park, near the Galleria, with good transport connections.
My first session
I invite all clients to an initial assessment. This gives me the chance to find out more about them, why they are seeking counselling and what they hope to get from it. Crucially, it also gives each person the chance to meet me and for them to decide whether they would like to continue working with me.
