About me and my therapy practice
My name is Anne, I offer a confidential and non-judgemental space for people who wish to deepen their understanding and awareness of themselves, to find support in a time of distress or to address a particular issue.
I work in an integrative way because, I believe, there’s no single approach that suits everyone, I tailor my work to your specific needs. I work with each person in a unique and individual way, at a pace that suits them. You will be heard in confidence, without judgement and with your needs at the heart of our time together. Trust and our relationship are key, and I aim to create a calm and nurturing atmosphere for you to explore your issues.
Sometimes, some support and a listening ear can help us to accept, understand and love ourselves, and to be as at ease with our circumstances as we can be, developing resilience and resourcefulness to help us cope when life becomes challenging.
Taking the first step to seek therapy can feel daunting and scary. Yet, most of us have experienced a time when we have needed help or longed to be truly heard and understood. My aim is that you feel your thoughts and feeling are acknowledged and valued, without judgement. Making changes is possible for us all and I would feel privileged to be a part of your journey, if you would like to work together.
If you wish to have the presence of a Therapy Dog in our sessions, I have one readily available by the name of Loulou. She would be more than happy to sit with you during our sessions or she could just be in the room at my side until you may feel ready to have her with you. Feel free to contact me to discuss this further if it is something that you would like to consider.
My first sessionIf you have never experienced therapy before, it can be hard to understand that “just talking” can help. It is my belief and experience that the strength of the relationship between the counsellor and the client is the reason why “just talking” can make such a profound difference to how you feel.
