About me and my therapy practice

You have started this counselling course and are ready to learn! But you need to complete some personal therapy as part of the course requirements!

Or maybe you would like to have some personal therapy alongside your course to get a better and clearer understanding of what you are larning. But you are thinking about the financial side of it. How can you balance all the costs of your course?

I can help.

I offer lower-cost online counselling to counselling students who are in this situation. Contact me today for a free chat!

Practice description

Counselling will provide you with the opportunity to explore your issues in a safe and confidential way, without the fear of being judged. You will have the space to speak about whatever you wish, and we will work at your pace.

As I work solely online ( I am currently not based in the UK), video sessions are conducted via Zoom.

I also offer e-mail counselling which is helpful for those who might find writing to be an easier way to communicate. Some advantages of e-mail counselling are not needing to plan a specific, recurring time each week. This might be useful if you work in shifts, or have flexible working patterns. E-mail counselling also allows you the time to think about what you want to write about.

Sessions for video counselling will be 60 minutes each.

I offer both short term and long term therapy.

The fee for both video and email counselling is £35 ( For counselling students/ trainees only*).

*Evidence will be required for counselling students/trainees.

In the past, I have worked with the charity Life Changes, which provides low-cost counselling to individuals. I have also volunteered with Yellow Door (formerly Southampton Rape Crisis).

Please contact me via email if you are interested in starting counselling. If you have not heard back from me, please make sure to check your spam box!

My first session

I offer a free introductory call (on Zoom/ WhatsApp-with or without video if you wish) to assess your objectives and expectations from counselling. This is a great opportunity for us to see if we would be a good match for working together. It will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.

About me and my therapy practice

You find yourself spending too much time and effort on a particular activity, and though you realise this, you are finding it hard to stop. You didn’t see it as a problem before, but now, you're starting to realise the impacts that it's had on your life. Perhaps you feel ashamed to speak about it for fear that people won’t understand you, or because you don’t want to disappoint them. But you are feeling incapable of dealing with this by yourself, and recognise that you need support.

You want to understand the root of it. You want to gain back the control in your life that you feel you have lost.

I can help you.

I am a person-centred therapist, which means that you will be able to freely explore what is on your mind. We will work together so that you may be able to understand the issues with more clarity, and therefore, come to your own conclusions and find your own solutions.

I have a BSc in Psychology and a Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling. I am a member of the BACP (The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

My first session

I completely understand that the idea of starting counselling, and talking to a total stranger is often a very daunting thought!

So, with that thought in mind, I offer a free 20-minute initial session (on Zoom or WhatsApp - with or without video if you wish) to understand more about your reasons for seeking counselling. This is also a great opportunity for us to meet each other to see if we can be a good match to work together. It will also give you the chance to ask any questions you may have.
