About me and my therapy practice

PGDip, MBACP & UKCP Registered.

Taking that first step and beginning the journey takes courage. That’s why it’s so important you feel comfortable and safe with your therapist. I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist who approaches your problems and feelings, whatever they may be, with a mature, non-judgmental and open mind. I have an in person therapy practice in a peaceful location in the W3/W4 area of London alongside a busy online practice. Amongst my online clients are executives with hectic work schedules, those wishing access to an experienced London therapist from around the world, home workers and at home parents, individuals with mobility/health issues alongside clients who simply feel more comfortable with remote support.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is an in-depth way of looking at your problems. At each step we work together to explore alternative ways to move forward in your life. To achieve this we also look back, uncovering any repetitive patterns of behaviour and understanding how they are contributing to what you feel is going wrong.

Over a number of years, I have helped people of all ages and from all walks of life. This experience was gained providing psychotherapy in WPF Therapy’s busy London Bridge Clinic and within community mental health services in West London. Whilst my former career at a senior level in editing and publishing gave me first-hand experience of the pressures and stress of modern-day London living. I hold a post graduate qualification in psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Some, but by no means all, of the areas I work with include:

Difficulty regulating your emotions from anger to anxiety

Forming meaningful, lasting relationships

Family issues

Traumatic childhood experiences

Life transitions such as career changes, parenthood, and retirement

Long term illness including cancer

Loss and surviving endings

Suicidal thoughts

Practice description

In person therapy takes place in a calm, tranquil and spacious setting - accessed via a short flight of stairs - on the Acton/Chiswick border. South Acton overland station is five minutes walk, Chiswick Park and Acton Town Stations are a 10-15 minute walk and the E3 and 440 bus stop is two minutes away, meaning the therapy practice is accessible to those living in Acton, Hammersmith, Shepherd's Bush, Chiswick and Richmond.

Online therapy takes place via Zoom.

My first session

After receiving your enquiry I will contact you to arrange a brief telephone conversation during which we can arrange to meet for either an in-person or remote session.

This is where we explore what brings you to therapy now, your hopes for the future, and get to know each other a little and see how we work together. This is also your opportunity to ask any questions.

We can then decide the best way forward and agree a regular day and time to meet each week.

Sessions take place once or twice weekly and last 50 minutes.

The fee per session starts from £80. The fee is discussed and agreed during the first consultation.
