About me and my therapy practice

I offer a non-judgemental, safe environment to help you understand yourself and your life. Counselling can support you to find your own insights, new ways of being with yourself and others, and work towards healing and freedom. It can be a space to get things off your chest, rest or reset, find perspective and understanding in life and relationships.

Counselling can help with a variety of issues, some of the areas I work with are: anxiety, depression, stress management, bereavement, long term illness, relationship issues, spirituality and loss/change of identity. You are free to bring any experience or issues that are important to you for us to work with.

I also offer counselling for couples, giving you both time and space to be heard by each other, introducing different communication styles and working through things as they arise. We can explore how your personal issues affect the way you relate, and how best to support each other in your relationship.

My practice is informed by Buddhist philosophy and meditation, which I have been exploring and supporting others with for over 15 years, emphasising embodied awareness and compassion. This helps me to stay present and offer different ways of being with experience.

I have been practising counselling and psychotherapy since 2014. I trained at Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham, graduating with a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred and Experiential Psychotherapy. I am a Registered Member of the BACP and work within their Ethical Framework.
