Availability

I currently have availability on Mondays and Tuesdays during the day. I normally take breaks roughly following the school main and half term holidays.

About me and my therapy practice

I'm well qualified and have been working in the Reading area for over 20 years. I have seen people who have deep-seated lifelong problems; people who are coping, but feeling overwhelmed; and with others who are troubled by recurring patterns and problems in their work, relationships or self-worth.

I take a contemporary approach, regarding everyone as unique: there are no formulas. My psychochodynamic training means that I will help you to explore the deep roots of your difficulties and the parts of yourself that you find hard to know.

I work in a quiet room in my house or online.

Practice description

You will lead the conversations but I will help you to ease into the unusual way of talking in therapy. I will encourage you to say whatever occurs to you and to ask me any questions you wish. We will regularly review how things are going.

My first session

At our first meeting I will take some notes (which will be confidential). I may ask you more questions than I usually would so that we cover essential areas. The aim will be for us to meet each other and you may ask any questions you wish. We will not make a decision that day as to whether we wish to work together but will allow a day or up to one week to be sure whether we are makiing the right commitment.
