About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to this information about me which may help you decide if I’m the right person to help you.

I am a mature counselling and mindfulness practitioner. I am an integrative relational therapist and regard therapy as a healing process to help people resolve or integrate life’s challenges effectively, in line with personal values and goals.


The foundation of my practice as a counsellor is to form a supportive and enabling relationship to facilitate exploration of difficulties, and support change and growth.

Any decision to seek counselling is a courageous step towards understanding and facing your problems and making changes. It is important to choose a therapist you feel comfortable with as this will enable the therapy to unfold. This process takes time, patience and a willingness to explore whatever may be holding you back in life.

I offer one-to-one mindfulness sessions, to help you learn mindful meditation skills and how to bring a more mindful approach to managing life challenges. For some people 1:1 sessions fit into their lives more easily than joining a group.

Mindfulness and compassion practice can provide a foundation for working through anxiety, pain, stress, low mood and chronic conditions. It can help to stimulate and broaden an understanding of who we are, what is meaningful for us and be applied very directly into everyday life. As we increase our mindful awareness we discover a greater appreciation of the myriad joys and moments that life brings.

At our first meeting we can discuss your needs and establish whether I am the best person to help you at this time, and we can then agree on a number of further meetings. You may prefer weekly or fortnightly meetings depending on your circumstances.
