About me and my therapy practice

I understand that we all have aspects of our lives which we find challenging and cause us difficulties, and it can be hard to ask for help and to exercise the self-care we deserve. Making the first step into counselling or therapy can be daunting but I will provide a non-judgmental space for you to discuss what's going on for you so we can work together to understand and process those difficulties.

I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist working on a one to one basis with adults in City of London, WC1B; Buckhurst Hill, IG9 and online. I can help with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, addiction, anger management, relationship difficulties, stress, work related issues, loss and bereavement, low mood, low self-esteem, trauma and more.

I believe having a non-judgmental space to talk about our emotional or psychological difficulties can help us better understand what is troubling us. Greater insight into our thoughts and feelings mean they can feel less of a burden and allow us to live a freer, happier life. Together we would explore your current and past difficulties to try to understand how your current circumstances and past experiences are influencing your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

The work we would do together can help with a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, feelings of being stuck, self harm, phobias, addition, work difficulties and mitre.

I have an MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy. As well as my work in private practice, I have experience of working for the NHS and in the charity sector. My training also included aspects of understanding group and organisational dynamics which can be helpful for working with difficulties within the family or work setting.

Practice description

Although I'm based in the City of London and Buckhurst Hill,  I am currently working online using Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams depending on your preference.

My first session

We would start by meeting for an initial consultation to give us an opportunity to get to know each other a little and decide if the therapy I offer is likely to be of help to you. It may take two to three sessions to decide if we would like to start working together, but after these initial sessions there is no obligation for us to continue working together.
