About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced, integrative counsellor and I offer short and long term counselling for both adults and young people. My model is integrative, incorporating different theoretical approaches, which I adapt to the individual needs of the client. I offer a confidential place to explore whatever brings you to counselling. I believe that counselling facilitates change and personal growth. Exploring patterns of behavior and core beliefs linked to events in the past can lead to a deeper self awareness and a path for moving forward. Together we can find the tools and resources you need in the here and now to make changes and overcome your difficulties, leading to a more contended life. I have been a volunteer counsellor for young people in a BACP Accredited placement and in a school setting. I use a variety of motivational exercises based on CBT techniques to help young people to challenge their negative thoughts and feelings and to develop more positive thinking patterns and coping mechanisms. Whatever the issue, it may simply be a case of feeling 'stuck' or 'overwhelmed', you will be met with understanding and empathy, in a safe, non-judgemental place.
