About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified counsellor with a foundation degree from Ulster University. Being an Integrative Counsellor means I can use different therapies to suit the needs of each individual. I work in a GP surgery and also privately from home in peaceful country surroundings. I have a CPCAB Diploma in CBT. It is very effective at tackling low self-esteem and negative beliefs which can lead to self defeating behaviours. It is a therapy which is recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) as its the treatment of choice for depression and anxiety. I am an accredited member of BACP and adhere to their ethical framewrok for Good Practice. Sessions last 1 hour. I also have a CPCAB level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision. I became interested in Counselling after I experienced depression and anxiety in my early twenties. This has helped me understand a lot of issues others face. I gained a lot of personal growth during my counselling training and through my own personal therapy. I enjoy using my own awareness and training o help others.
