About me and my therapy practice
I am a compassionate counsellor with a great passion for the value of counselling to provide an effective means of improving our wellbeing and relationships, and to help us to develop our own more authentic sense of self.
I bring together effective approaches to therapy, drawing from a variety of models to suit your individual needs. I am a fully qualified counsellor accredited with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere to the BACP guidelines.
My aim is to create a safe therapeutic space where you can discuss and explore difficulties that you may be experiencing. I will support you to find strategies and solutions to the problems you face. I am able to work short term or can offer longer term support if needed. I place you the client at the heart of my work and look to bring my experience and understanding of the human condition to help you.
I have experience of working with a wide range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, sexuality and gender issues, relationship issues, grief and work-related stress.
Over the last eight years I have worked in a variety of clinical settings which include; the NHS Systemic Family Counselling Service, the NHS Learning Disability Psychology Service, Cedar Counselling Service, Women’s Aid Birmingham and Solihull, Place2be, NSPCC, Woodbourne Priory Hospital, Birmingham City University, University of Birmingham, Warwick University and Coventry University.
Due to the current Covid-19 crisis, I am solely offering online and telephone counselling sessions.
If you feel I may be able to help you or you have any questions, please contact me for further details.
