About me and my therapy practiceI have a bachelor’s degree in Counselling-Psychotherapy and for the past 15 years, I have supported people to overcome situations that prevented them from reaching the whole of their potential. Whether you wish to explore the past, want to understand current issues, or feel you are ready to make a positive change in your life, we can work together to achieve your goals. I will provide you with a safe space that is free of judgement, where you can talk and learn more about your thoughts and feelings. Through insight, exploration, and adaptation, I can help you to reach greater level of connectedness with yourself and others, feeling hope for the present and future, whilst developing skills to regain better emotional control that will help you to achieve your personal development ambitions.
Practice descriptionI employ an integrative approach to counselling which means I can use differing techniques depending on what suits you best. However, I have found the most effective and successful interventions are Cognitive and Behavioural techniques (exploring thoughts, feelings, and behaviours). We then move to Solution Focused strategies which will assist you to identify the resources and qualities you have within yourself, those that will help you to overcome positively the issue or issues that brought you in to counselling.
I have a special interest in helping individuals overcome anxiety, depression, issues with attachment, ADHD, co-dependency, and addictions.
