About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP registered member and COSCA qualified integrative psychotherapist working in the dialogue between the psychodynamic and person-centred approach to therapy. I hold a Professional Doctorate in Psychotherapy and Counselling.
I have six years direct client experience, predominantly working with adults who experience issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement and past trauma. More recently, I adopt creative approaches to work in therapeutic settings with children and young people who are affected by substance use in their families.
I offer high levels of self-awareness and a commitment to continued self-development to professionally maintain a safe and confidential setting for my clients. To offer individuals a space in which to explore difficulties and emotional challenges is my aim as a counsellor and psychotherapist. The purpose of therapy is to develop self-awareness, self-understanding, self-acceptance and resilience to face circumstances in life.
The session I offer is weekly and each lasts for 50 mins. The initial session of consultation is free of charge.
I am professionally proficient in both English and Chinese, and I can conduct therapy in both languages.
