About me and my therapy practice

I have experience of working with adults from all walks of life and have trained in intercultural counselling.  Much of my work has been in helping people to cope with and stop or reduce their dependency upon substance misuse.  I have worked in a number of centres across London that offered day programmes to clients seeking help with addiction issues.  .    I have worked with clients who were seeking help to understand and cope with challenging mental health issues.   For example, I worked for a number of years in a service that helped survivors of suicide or those dealing with suicidal ideation.   I offer short or long term face to face counselling in a safe and secure environment.   My approach integrates aspects of humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural theories.  I have learned that the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist is the key to achieving successful outcomes.   I am a qualified counselling supervisor.   In addition I offer a few low-cost sessions for trainee counsellors.
