About me and my therapy practice

My role as a counsellor is to help my clients overcome the difficulties they're facing in life, so that they can live fulfilled and happy lives. Many of my clients say that counselling has made a profound difference to their lives. Some of the benefits my clients say they experience are greater confidence, being at ease with themselves, better relationships and feeling happier and stronger. Most experience noticeable benefits in six sessions, however, some clients prefer to have longer-term counselling, which enables us to deepen and consolidate on the therapeutic work. It is up to you how many sessions you would like to have.

I have been working as a counsellor in Brighton since 2004 and I'm also a BACP accredited counsellor. In addition to being a counsellor, I teach a popular counselling skills course for adults at Varndean College in Brighton.

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I am able to use a number of counselling approaches according to the needs of my clients.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is an approach to therapy favoured by the NHS and recommended in the N.I.C.E. guidelines.

I also believe in the practice of Mindfulness, and sometimes introduce Mindfulness exercises in the therapy if I feel my client would benefit, such as in cases of anxiety and depression.
