About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome to ‘barefeet counselling” for Adults and Young People

It can be a bit daunting making that first approach to counselling, often it is an unknown process with which you have decided to take a chance. I believe it is can be helpful to occasionally allow ourselves the space and time to talk over any issues that have been affecting us. Through counselling you can become more aware of yourself, your relationships and how you operate in the world. This gives you the opportunity to choose changes you may like to make.

Within the counselling room I will work calmly and gently with whatever you bring, exploring all of the parts that make you a unique person, sometimes talking, sometimes using creative therapy, always at your pace and always at your choice.

I see us all as individuals, each with our own stories and counselling will allow you to speak and to share yours.

I am an experienced and interested counsellor, a registered member of the BACP and have a degree in Psychology. I have a background in education having spent many years working alongside 16 – 18 year olds within a college and also with 12-25 year olds with “It’s Your Choice.

About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome to 'barefeet counselling' for Adults and Young People.

It can be daunting making that first approach to counselling, often it is an unknown process with which you have decided to take a chance. I believe it can be helpful to occasionally allow ourselves the space and time to talk over any issues that have been bothering us. Through counselling, you can become more aware of yourself, your relationships and how you operate in the world. This gives you the opportunity to decide if there are different choices you can make.

Possibly there is a mix of several concerns that appear unresolvable and are affecting your way of being in the world. I see us all as individuals, each with our own stories and counselling will allow you to speak and to share yours.
