About me and my therapy practice
My approach is flexible and nurturing, helping you find choices in your life again and a sense of empowerment. Whether you want to work mindfully with a particular issue short term over 8-10 counselling sessions or take your time to explore something much deeper, it is about making that leap of faith and journeying into self. It’s the start of a great personal adventure of discovery, an investment in yourself. My work is about creating the right environment for you, whether you are a man or woman, to feel safe and confident to unpick the complex issues that underpin your current dilemma. This is about working with you rather than forcing you into a particular theory. As an integrative therapist I’ve trained in the different approaches but I will call on these, such as CBT, Gestalt, or Mindfulness, as and when needed. I have an interest in Jungian theory and working with dreams, and have an Advanced Certificate in Dream Interpretation.
I have been an Honorary Psychotherapist & Supervisor with the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, North London, working on an alcohol & addiction research project and I have run specialist forums for psychosis with Early Intervention Services (EIS) Clinical supervisor with Brent Bereavement Services, part of my Supervision Training. Mindfulness (MBCT) practitioner having trained at Oxford University's Mindfulness Centre
