About me and my therapy practice
This can be an uncertain world and can bring anxiety and concerns that may feel overwhelming at times. Going to a counsellor may seem like a big step, even when things are troubling and confusing. If you are not sure whether therapy is right for you, or if finding the right counsellor seems bewildering, we can arrange a call to discuss your concerns. This session would not involve any obligation to return.
I am an integrative counsellor offering long- and short-term therapy giving you the opportunity to look at life generally or to focus on a specific issue. Whether facing a crisis, ongoing problems or feeling dissatisfied with life, I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental way for you to bring and explore your situation.
Working integratively means that I bring together many theories, techniques and perspectives as a way to respond to each unique person. I believe the therapeutic relationship can offer you the opportunity to explore your situation and consider what changes, if any, you may want to achieve. I work in an empathic manner and in accordance with the BACP ethical framework.
I am based in Cambridge and currently offer zoom or phone sessions only because of social distancing rules.
My first session
Sessions last for 50 minutes and are currently on ZOOM or phone because of covid restrictions.
The first session will offer you an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy. To explore your current fears and concerns, and to think about what you want to change in your life. To examine what is serving you in your current behaviours and beliefs and what is potentially holding you back or causing you pain.
