I’m a BACP-registered counsellor and therapist based in North London, near Tufnell Park tube station.

I am building up my experience with couples and welcome enquiries from this group.  I usually work with couples in the evening, when I offer longer, 70 minutes sessions.  My fee is £100 per session.

I currently have the following availability:

My availability changes - please do enquire if these times are not suitable or if you are enquiring as a couple.

Thank you

About me and my therapy practice

“I want to be all I am capable of becoming.” Katherine Mansfield

Life is easy, but living is anything but. There are times when you might feel stuck or swamped: with family work or relationship problems; with your sense of identity or need for independence, health and security. Those problems may relate to the present, past or even future. They may seem small, but like a tiny shard of glass stuck in your foot, they will still hurt.

I believe we have one life that we need to nurture as best we can. This means working through whatever weighs us down and prevents us from being our best selves. Therapy does not come with all the answers, but it offers a safe place where you can explore how your experiences and/or beliefs might hold you back. How you respond to a situation can be more important than the situation itself. If we can spot your patterns together we can explore why they got there, what they are doing and how they might be adapted so you can live your best life.

I am committed to helping my clients work through whatever may be causing them distress or confusion and I will work with whatever you wish to bring to our sessions, in a non-judgmental way. I welcome people from all backgrounds and lifestyles.

Practice description

I have trained in psychotherapy after a previous career in television and journalism. I am interested in people and the way we relate to one another. While our experiences and life stories differ significantly – we have been dealt different cards and play them in any number of ways – I believe we are more alike than different. Each of us shares common desires to move through life in relationship to others and to feel personal value.

Our past can resonate down the years to affect the here and now – sometimes impacting us in ways we cannot immediately understand. This can feel scary and uncomfortable. My aim is to support each client to explore their their experiences and feelings while they get to understand their unique life map or tapestry. From this point, they can go on to live fuller and more accepting lives.

In my practice, I combine aspects of my integrative training to provide a warm, empathic and safe environment, while working through issues at a pace that suits you. I recognise we all have different rhythms and needs. You may come seeking immediate answers, or you may wish to explore more complex, on-going concerns. Whatever your preference, I will commit to making the most of our time together.

My first session

I offer online sessions, phone sessions, face-to-face meetings or, for longer sessions,  walking therapy. We can work together for as long as it is helpful. We might agree to meet for a short time (6-12 sessions), a longer time (6 months or a year), or without any fixed ending. It is up to you.

Therapy depends on a good working relationship between client and therapist, and sometimes the fit doesn’t work. I encourage an initial session for us to get to know each other, enabling you to make that decision to continue working together.

Please give me a call, or send a message, if you wish to arrange a first session (charged) or to have a short chat  (10 - 15  minutes, no charge) .
