About me and my therapy practice
I work as an integrative counsellor, primarily from a person-centred perspective. This means that you can bring whatever you wish to the session, while we work at a pace and depth that you feel comfortable with. During the sessions, I will employ theory and techniques from CBT, psychodynamic and other therapeutic philosophies which I feel may be useful.
Where we start in the sessions is not the important thing as ultimately, clients will naturally discover the things that matter the most to them. For some, this can happen quickly whilst for others it may take a little longer.
During my time as a counsellor, I have worked with people who have experienced many different things that life has thrown at them including bereavement, child and adult sexual abuse, and addiction. When faced with personal difficulties, a variety of diagnoses can exist, but only by helping clients to make sense and process their feelings, can they find relief and freedom from them.
I can work with you on a short-term basis to address particular issues concerning you today, or on a longer-term basis if you have significant life events that you would like to explore in more depth.
I currently work from the Remedy Lounge, 244 Deansgate, Manchester and am available 7 days a week. The building is readily accessible by road and public transport and has disabled access.
