About me and my therapy practice

A warm hello to you. I know that it can be tricky to find the support you need but you're here now, and I welcome you.

It can be really hard to live in this world sometimes. You may feel overwhelmed, like you don't belong, or feel stuck for example. Or perhaps something has happened in your life that you don't know how to manage alone such as a bereavement, relationship betrayal or job loss. The world is confusing for many, and it may be difficult to cope with life's absurdities. It's normal to feel lost and scared sometimes, but you shouldn't have to survive on your own. I hope that you find the help that you're looking for.

My name is Toni (she/her) and I am an accredited counselling therapist. I have experience of being both a therapist and a client. Because of this I know how important it is to find the "right fit": a person who you feel gets you, and who you can build enough trust with to bring your whole self. I welcome all of you - the parts you love and the parts that might feel a little harder to like! I am here with you in the painful thoughts and feelings as well as the laughter and celebration.

I aim to offer you a compassionate, respectful and exploratory relationship, centred in trauma-informed practice and kindness. I believe that no two people are the same. How we feel about ourselves and how we are treated in the world is influenced by many aspects of our identity including race, culture, sexuality, class, gender, neurodivergence and health status to name a few. I am curious to know you, and to support you to find ways to feel more comfortable in the world, in yourself and in your body.

Together I hope we can create enough safety for you to take the courageous steps towards the life you want.

I look forward to meeting you,

Toni

Practice description

I offer long-term open ended counselling. I am also able to provide fixed-term counselling for a period which works for you - for example, 6, 12 or 24 weeks.

Counselling is accessible either face-to-face in The Heeler Centre, or online via the free online platform ZOOM. I also offer telephone counselling. I can be flexible to meet your needs.

I am a humanistic therapist working with individuals, couples and groups. I am able to provide counselling privately and in partnerships with charities and organisations.

My first session

I offer a reduced fee first meeting at £35.00.

This is an opportunity for us to meet one another, for me to get a brief understanding of what is bringing you to counselling, and for you to get a sense of how I work and to ask any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.
