About me and my therapy practice
You may have a clear idea of what you're seeking from counselling, or have very little idea at all. While I won't have 'the answers', I will commit to listening to you with care, curiosity and empathy, supporting you to identify what and how you wish to change, and work alongside you to bring about those changes.
As a Humanistic counsellor, my approach is centred on the belief that we are all capable of growing, changing and gaining greater insight into ourselves. And as an Integrative counsellor, I draw upon the core models of my training, according to the individual needs of my clients, but fundamentally the guiding principle of my work is the therapeutic relationship forged between us.
My personal and professional journeys led me to train to become a counsellor. I have long been a registered speech and language therapist, working with clients with a range of communication difficulties, particularly social communication. I am able to bring this experience and expertise to my counselling practice too, if this is required.
I work with a range of clients - adults and young people (11+) - who seek 1:1 counselling for a variety of reasons. If you would like to know more about me and the way I work, please visit my website, brionylambert.com
