About me and my therapy practice
I can offer you counselling sessions, face to face, via video or on the phone. Sessions are 50 minutes long, and usually weekly, but can be less frequent depending on your circumstances. The focus of our work is determined by you, but we’ll work together to explore what’s troubling you and find ways for you to live with greater ease. Some clients like to work with creative materials and methods, and this is something I am happy to offer too.
I run my practice from a stunning room at "The Gather Rooms" just outside Lewes. This converted farm building offers a welcoming and healing setting for our therapeutic work.

My first session
All counselling sessions are 50 minutes and take place in beautiful rooms in a tranquil rural setting just outside Lewes, at my practice in Brighton and Hove, or via video. We might work short-term (8-12 sessions) or long-term, depending on what you want and need, and we can discuss this together.
Your first session is a chance for us to get a sense of each other, and for you to get an idea of how we can work together. Counselling is by its nature very personal, and for it be effective, it’s important that you can feel safe and able to trust me. Counselling is also a dialogue, and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have about therapy and the ways it can work.
For many, the prospect of a first counselling session can feel daunting, and this is a completely natural reaction to something unknown. I’ll do all I can to put you at ease, and to listen to you with compassion and curiosity. I'll ask you a bit about yourself, about what's brought you to seek counselling, and you can tell me as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Through our conversations, we can work together to find the best way for you to move forward.
