About me and my therapy practice
During the covid 19 pandemic I am offering online sessions in a confidential and secure setting via Zoom, Skype, Wats App or MS Teams.
In the current crisis many aspects of our mental health can be challenging. Adjusting to living with less freedom and perhaps greater stress has been deeply troubling to many people, whether we are isolated with family or alone, or working to ensure that essential services continue whilst trying to remain healthy ourselves.
Anxiety, depression, fear, loss and grief may feel like constant overwhelming companions, yet they can be held and resolved through therapy.
I offer kind, professional integrative therapy based upon our relationship and respecting your unique value. People seek psychotherapy for many significant reasons, it takes courage to face issues that are causing suffering or challenging you to heal and evolve. I aim to offer a warm, confidential and compassionate space so that as far as possible you feel secure, encouraged and ready to work through your challenges. I’m led by what you feel open to working with as you are the expert on your own experience.
Good therapy involves mutual trust and often joyful, at times difficult exploration. As an Integrative therapist I use a range of techniques from different theoretical approaches, depending on which technique is most appropriate. I offer 1:1 therapy helping adults facing a wide range of issues, including attachment, trauma, family conflict, bereavement, depression, anxiety, ill health, work stress, gender, self identity and finding meaning .
My first session
The first 50 minute session is an opportunity for us both as client and therapist, to see how well we might work together and to establish the particular things you would like to address.
There is no demand for you to disclose anything that you feel anxious or uncomfortable about, and what is disclosed is strictly confidential (unless I'm concerned that you may be at risk of seriously harming yourself or others).
If you decide that you wish to work with me, at the end of the session we'll discuss the details of the contract.
