About me and my therapy practice

I offer counselling sessions via face to face , telephone or video call (Zoom, Etc).

I offer person or client centred counselling. I listen very carefully, and try to understand how my client views their world, and what they perceive is wrong with it or with their self. I try to help them to examine, and shine some light onto the problematic issues they are experiencing, and by doing so possibly reveal some solutions or ways of improving their lives as a result. I can call upon 63 years of life experience, and thousands of hours of counselling experience.

Practice description

I practice as an individual and am not part of a company or group. I am able to arrange face to face sessions at some well appointed, and comfortable counselling rooms in Nuneaton. I am also willing to meet clients in their homes if required. I have undertaken specific training to counsel clients via telephone or the internet through video call, as this type of counselling requires a slightly different approach.

My first session

My first session would be to take some client details, and if my client feels able, an assessment to establish how my client is living at present. (Most of the assessment questions are very simple and many are multiple choice answers.) The assessment is a tool which can help the client to relax, and hopefully gets them thinking about themselves, and how they are approaching day to day affairs. (Eating, sleeping, exercise, thinking time, time for themselves, Etc.) I will then ask my client what issue or issues they wish to bring to counselling. If my client feels I can be of help, I would then offer a counselling agreement.
