About me and my therapy practice

Would you like a place where where you can talk in confidence about the thoughts that are rattling around your head; someone to hear what you have to say but not judge?

That's what I provide in my counselling sessions whether face to face or online.

I also bring you safety, trust, compassion, cultural sensitivity as well as respect and extensive professional and personal experience.

These qualities make the process of sharing where you're at easier.

Together, we'll begin the process of looking at the events and feelings that are difficult right now, figure out why you're feeling the way you are and work towards the goals that are important to you.

Sessions are one to one, confidential and last 50 minutes.

If you have any questions or would like to book an initial session please call or text 07484 160971.

Or, you can email info@anjali-leverton.co.uk.

Having worked in a hospital based counselling team since 2017 and privately since 2020, I have extensive experience of working with:

anxiety, bereavement, cancer diagnoses, depression, changes in health, stress, self esteem & confidence, relationship issues, loss, the impact of stereotyping, discrimination and expectations.

I also run anxiety management workshops and am a Volunteer Therapist for Anxiety UK.

Thank you for reading my profile.

You'll find more details about how I work including my privacy notice at www.anjali-leverton.co.uk

If you have any questions or would like to book, call/text 07484160971 or email info@anjali.leverton.co.uk.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Practice description

Once you've got in touch, we'll briefly discuss what you're looking for from therapy and I'll explain how I work.

We can either do this in a phone call, which usually lasts around 15 minutes and is free of charge or over text/email.

There's no obligation to book but if you feel comfortable you'll have the option to book an initial, one-off, 50 minute session and you'll find more information about this below.

Therapy to fit your needs:

I'm integratively trained which means that I always adapt my way of working to meet your needs.

You dictate the pace at which we look at the issues you're facing as well as what's covered. For example, if you'd like strategies for managing anxiety.

You choose if sessions are online or face to face.

Online: I use Zoom's secure video conferencing technology for online appointments. You'll receive an information sheet  about how online sessions work and I'll send you a link for our session once I've received payment.

This allows you to have regular one to one support from the comfort of your own familiar environment, whenever its convenient for you and without any time being lost to travel.

If you feel you'd benefit from some in person sessions in addition to online, we'll work together to agree a "hybrid" schedule and you'll find some information about the locations I work from below and on the other tabs.

Face to face: I work from comfortable, purpose designed counselling rooms in Cold Norton (CM3), Wickford (SS12) and North Fambridge (CM3), Essex.

I provide detailed directions on booking and there's parking on site at each location.

These locations are easy to reach from:

Basildon, Benfleet, Rayleigh, Danbury, Purleigh, Chelmsford, South Woodham Ferrers, Wickford and the Dengie Peninsula.

Wickford and North Fambridge have a train station.

Call or text 07484 160971 or email info@anjali-leverton.co.uk.

If I'm unable to take your call please leave your name and number and let me know when would be a convenient time for me to call you back.

My first session

Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £50 payable in advance, by bank transfer.

Whether online or face to face, the first session is a chance for us to meet and get to know each other. It's an opportunity for you to share details about what you're finding challenging and what you're looking for from counselling.

I'll tell you a little about how we can work together and the confidentiality that applies around our sessions.

Towards the end of the first session we'll discuss how this initial time together has felt and we'll agree the next steps between us.

There will never be an pressure to book sessions because I strongly believe that the relationship between you and I is key to effective counselling.

So you feeling comfortable and having a counsellor that feels like the right fit for you will always be the priority.

I look forward to hearing from you.
